Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced Probate & Estate Planning Paralegal to support attorneys with estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.
You'll draft estate planning documents, assist with probate from filing through final distribution, manage deadlines, communicate with clients, and help attorneys keep matters moving efficiently. You'll join a long-term remote team with ongoing support from Equivity's operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and related documents
  • Prepare probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and court filings
  • Support probate and trust administration through completion
  • Communicate with clients and third parties to gather information and coordinate matters
  • Track deadlines, maintain case files, and review documents before attorney review
  • Work proactively with attorneys to ensure timely case progression
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of probate and/or estate planning paralegal experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong knowledge of probate procedures and estate planning documents
  • Trust administration experience preferred
  • Experience with WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, Clio, or similar software is a plus
  • Available at least 20 hours/week during standard business hours (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Windows-based computer preferred
