Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years of recent experience working as a paralegal in a California law firm to join our remote team. We’re looking for a proactive, highly organized professional who understands California litigation and can independently support attorneys throughout the life of a case.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Prepare and e-file documents in California state courts
  • Prepare and respond to discovery and assist with document productions
  • Maintain calendars and track court, case, and discovery deadlines
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and trials
  • Assist with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation
  • Organize case files, exhibits, and supporting documentation
  • Conduct legal and factual research
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recent experience working as a paralegal in a California law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong knowledge of California court rules, procedures, deadlines, and e-filing
  • Ability to independently manage multiple active matters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe; Clio or similar software is a plus
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week to start
  • Reliable, communicative, and responsive during standard business hours, with the ability to respond to attorney and team communications within one hour
