Summary

The Syndicated Loan Senior Consultant is a member of the Loan Operations team that provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting, support and leadership to the team and business partners. The Senior Consultant carries out activities and projects that are larger in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult. The role is balanced between high level operational execution of syndicated loan activities and development as well as implementation of strategic business function activities. The Syndicated Loan Senior Consultant plays a key role ensuring service quality and is seen as a key advisor on significant business decisions related to BAU.

Major Duties

Drive the development, maintenance and adoption of standard desktop procedures.

Perform root cause analysis and escalate repetitive operational problems to management, works to resolve via formal action plan.

Works effectively both as a team member as well as an independent, self-motivated individual.

Responsible for multiple projects of various complexities. Effective project coordination skills, planning, and stakeholder communication.

Responsible for undertaking audits to collate data and coordinate between multiple businesses and auditors

Assist with the on-boarding and training of new partners, able to cross-train junior level partners on other functions as well as provide back up as needed.

Serve as a key subject matter expert on NT as agent syndicated loan deals within Loan Operations and stakeholders across business units.

Identify opportunities for improvement within existing processes.

Serve as a coach and mentor to junior level partners on both operational processes as well issue analysis and resolution.

Independently build relationships with internal frontline and client contacts.

Responsible for understanding client's end-to-end process flows, business needs and deliverables.

Resolve client issues or inquiries with limited input.

Understand current Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that are directly related to syndicated loan fundings/payments, participant fundings/payments and booking into ACBS.

As an individual contributor, continue to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external partners.

Should be flexible to extend support on BAU whenever there is a business requirement

Periodically reviews the procedure documents / checklists

Frequently comes up with process enhancements / control measures and suggestions of improving the existing process flows

Knowledge :

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Syndicated Loan products and Banking products.
  • Knowledge on applications including ACBS, EDM workflow, DSM workflow and MTS would be preferred.

Experience :

Minimum 9-11 years of syndicated loan processing and administration experience

Should be flexible for shifts and extended working hours

Strong understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance factors

Salary Range:

$74,700 - 126,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
