Location: Berkeley Heights/NJ, Atlanta/GA, Houston/TX, Coral Springs/FL or NYC( Hybrid 2 days in office)

Sr. Risk Analyst
What does a great Data Science, Senior Analyst do?
You will support transaction risk management for of a portfolio of merchant accounts. You'll develop and implement machine learning models and rules to mitigate fraud and credit risk; analyze ambiguous data to understand trends, reach conclusions, and develop strategies to improve portfolio performance; and provide internal and external reporting and analytics.
In this role, you can look forward to:
  • Monitoring key metrics and ensuring accounts are meeting all contractual SLAs
    Communicating directly with external customers.
  • Managing a portfolio that produces $30 million in yearly warranties/check guarantees.
  • Risk management is a key transactional differentiator, if risk management is not conducted properly, there is impact to company reputation and public image, legal exposure and operational areas.
    Being the direct driver in the ability to meet forecast of yearly financial plan; tasked with approximately $2 million in yearly savings.
  • Creating statistical business models and rule sets to reduce net write-off; monitoring accounts to validate authorization system processing and performing to expectations.
  • Serving as a technical leader within the group and managing more substantial portfolios.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • 3+ years general business experience with 4+ years experience in an analytical role.
  • Experience in a technical and analytical business environment with a proven track record of success and
    increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience working with, understanding, and analyzing large amounts of data- including experience
    retrieving data from multiple data sources using your exceptional Access and Excel skills.
  • Experience with SQL and SAS

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Python, R Studio, or other statistical languages.
  • Tableau, Power BI, and other data analytics and visualization tools.
  • Predictive modeling and big data experience.
  • Background in a modeling and testing (champion/challenger) environment.
  • Experience in the check/payments industry.
