Equity Capital Markets - Equity Syndicate Execution

Morgan Stanley's Equity Capital Markets (ECM) platform advises clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of public and private equity offerings globally. Within ECM, the Equity Syndicate team plays a pivotal role in bringing transactions to market-drawing on industry leading knowledge and experience to serve as the critical link between ECM clients and the global investor base.

The Equity Syndicate Execution (SyndEx) team operates at the center of this process, overseeing the endtoend execution of complex equity transactions. SyndEx functions as the connective tissue across divisions, partnering closely with ECM, Banking, Risk, Sales & Trading, Legal & Compliance, Management, Operations, Finance, and Technology. The team evaluates transactions holistically to ensure client objectives are achieved with precision, efficiency, and adherence to the firm's regulatory and operational standards.

The New York City office is seeking a highperforming Associate or experienced Analyst to join the Equity Syndicate Execution team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with ECM to support the origination, structuring, and execution of public and private equity transactions
  • Own key elements of deal execution, including transaction setup, workflow management, and coordination across internal systems
  • Serve as a point of contact with global syndicate partners to ensure alignment throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Work closely with Operations teams to manage trade bookings, settlement, and transaction mechanics
  • Engage with Legal and Compliance partners to ensure transactions are executed within regulatory and firm frameworks
  • Develop and maintain analytics around ECM revenues, transaction economics, and deal pipeline visibility
  • Lead and support technology and processenhancement initiatives to improve execution efficiency and scale across Syndicate and the broader ECM franchise

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, capital markets, sales and trading, operations, or a related discipline preferred
  • Demonstrated an extraordinary level of motivation, work ethic, intellectual curiosity, strong judgment, and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in timesensitive environments
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and take ownership of multiple workstreams
  • Collaborative, solutionsoriented mindset with a track record of effective crossfunctional partnership
  • Clear, concise, and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Series licensing required or ability to obtain
  • New York City-based

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year for Analyst, and between $150,000 and $225,000 per year for Associate, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
