Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and business professionals.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator works closely with the DEI team to assist in implementing and administering the firmโ€™s diversity, equity, and inclusion (โ€œDEIโ€) programs and will handle client, industry, and internal data requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the collection of data for internal and external surveys and responds to client and industry survey requests, as needed.
  • Assists with the collection of data for internal and external surveys and responds to client and industry survey requests, as needed.
  • Provides assistance, as needed, with various external Diversity surveys to ensure correct data is provided by Eversheds Sutherland.
  • Assists with the implementation of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the firm.
  • Supports Attorney Affinity Group logistics including heritage month planning.
  • Conducts new/lateral associate onboarding.
  • Facilitates time and format of meetings with affinity groups, lawyers and committees.
  • Works with internal creative team to design invitations for affinity group, Womenโ€™s Leadership Initiative, and DEI Department events.
  • Attends affinity group events or internal events; coordinates registration, name tags, contact sheets, materials and other logistics.
  • Collaborates with DEI Department team members across all offices, as needed.
  • Conducts research as needed to meet departmental goals.
  • Performs administrative and other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications
  • Two to three years of experience working in a similarly sized, multi-office legal or professional services organization.
Education
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of an Associateโ€™s degree and related experience.
Skills
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook are required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Strong project management, organizational, writing and presentation skills

This is a hybrid role and the salary ranges for this position vary depending on the geographic location and other factors such as experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The range for this position is from $55,000 - $65,000, with offers contingent upon the various factors. The firmโ€™s compensation strategy includes not just a base salary but also comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, paid time off, discretionary merit bonuses, life and disability insurance, retirement plans and tailored learning opportunities.
