About this role:
The primary responsibility of the compensation group includes the preparation of company-wide and business unit compensation modeling and analyses, design/structure of broad-based pay programs, competitive benchmarking including data collection and analysis, managing vendors and external consultants, preparation of exhibits for senior management, managing annual bonus and merit planning process, preparing base salary budgets and analytics, and collaborating with HR Business partners to support their business' compensation needs.
What you'll do:
• Conduct analysis on pay and performance, identify trends, present findings to senior HR and business leaders
• Consult with HR Partners and senior business managers on pay decisions and related challenges
• Serve as an advocate of compensation philosophy and HR Partners and recruiters on how to apply to their businesses
• Study market trends; report findings and recommendations to team
• Support the annual merit, bonus, and equity allocation processes which include assisting in the allocation of funding, defining, and delivering training to users, and reviewing salary increase recommendations against guidelines to highlight discrepancies
• Continuously improve through development of tools and streamlining processes to increase efficiency of compensation planning efforts, analytics
• Assist with analysis of sales compensation plans and strategic plan design innovations
What you'll need:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Previous experience in a consultative compensation role with an analytical basis
• Proficiency in communicating complicated concepts to a broad audience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. ability to write complex dynamic formulas, charts, and dashboards)
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to maintain discretion with extremely confidential information
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with HR Partners and management
• Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills
• Ability to build a story with data to support business decisions and recommendations

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 86,000 USD - 118,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
