Purpose Of Position

The Used Equipment & Rental Manager is responsible for leading and growing the Company's used equipment sales and rental business. This position oversees all aspects of rental fleet operations, used equipment inventory management, sales strategy, customer relationships, and process development. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, maximize fleet utilization, enhance customer satisfaction, and collaborate across departments to support organizational goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will:

  1. Establish, implement, and continuously improve used equipment and rental processes to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
  2. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work environment.
  3. Partner with sales, service, production, and administrative teams to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
  4. Develop operational metrics and performance standards to monitor business performance and drive continuous improvement.
  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets for used equipment and rental operations.
  2. Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the volumetric mixer and construction equipment markets.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, and internal colleagues.
  4. Manage and optimize the used equipment website and digital sales channels to maximize lead generation and customer engagement.
  5. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  1. Oversee rental fleet management, ensuring equipment availability, utilization, and readiness.
  2. Coordinate with service and repair center teams to schedule inspections, maintenance, refurbishment, and repairs.
  3. Develop and implement rental pricing strategies that maximize utilization and profitability.
  4. Monitor fleet performance and make recommendations regarding equipment acquisition, disposal, and replacement.
  1. Manage used equipment inventory, including inspections, sourcing, valuation, pricing, marketing, and disposition.
  2. Develop and implement sales programs that leverage direct sales channels, the internal sales team, and the dealer network.
  3. Negotiate and finalize sales agreements while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  4. Collaborate with dealers and internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on used equipment sales opportunities.
  1. Ensure positive customer experience throughout the rental and sales lifecycle.
  2. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  3. Work closely with customer support and service teams to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Build long-term customer relationships that promote repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field (preferred).

  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Must either currently possess or have the ability to rapidly acquire CDL
