About the role

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
  • Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary
  • Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
  • Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areas
  • Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention
  • Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic
  • Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs
  • Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment
  • Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Physical Demands of the Role:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 27.36 - 36.39 USD per hour
