We are seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team at Owens & Minor!

The anticipated pay rate for this position is: $19/hr + 8% and 10% shift differential where applicable

Available Shifts:

Monday - Friday: 5AM - 130PM

Monday - Friday: 8AM - 430PM

Friday - Monday: 8AM - 630PM

Job Description:

MUST HAVE MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

  • Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.).

  • Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations.

  • Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities:


Receiving

  • Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.

  • Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.


Bulk picking

  • Select products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places in totes or on a pallet.

  • Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually load carts.


Sortation

  • Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.

  • Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.


Loading

  • Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.

  • Uses pallet jack to load pallets.


General requirements for all functions

  • Follows general sequencing and process procedures.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

  • Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.

  • Places incoming merchandise into inventory.

  • Conducts physical inventories as required.

  • Counts and performs basic math calculations.
