Jersey City is a suburb of New York City that has a long history of serving children. The Jersey City Global Charter School was founded with a belief that the future of any community is strongly linked to the health of its schooling system. A strong educational foundation empowers and equips children to become self-sufficient citizens and good community members and leaders.
The founders of the JCGCS have a fierce loyalty to the city they call home and strongly believe that all Jersey City parents and children should have good access to a free and rigorous academic education.
The Jersey City Global Charter School serves 433 students and serves grades K-8.
The mission of the Jersey City Global Charter School is to provide students with the skills and exploratory experiences that enable them to reach their fullest potential as independent thinkers and innovative problem solvers. By providing a diversified, comprehensive curriculum that encompasses social and economic entrepreneurship, social justice, equality, ecological sustainability as well as peace and harmony between people, we seek to address the unique needs of the students in a changing society.

The JCGCS Board of Trustees seeks an innovative educational leader who ensures an excellent educational experience for every student. The successful applicant must have demonstrated exemplary educational leadership experience in a diverse school community with similar strengths, demographics, and challenges.
Compensation in the range of $150,000 - $175,000- subject to actual qualifications, experience, and negotiations.
Candidates must have or be immediately eligible for a New Jersey Principal, School Administrator Certificate ,or Certificate of Eligibility.
