Overview

FocusPoint is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to identify an experienced Oracle EPM Planning and Budgeting Consultant. This role blends hands on financial planning expertise with Oracle EPM Cloud configuration, reporting, and data validation. The consultant will support budgeting cycles, forecast modeling, financial reporting, and cross functional analysis by developing EPM artifacts, troubleshooting data issues, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial outputs.

This is a contract consulting engagement with competitive market rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Oracle EPM Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS) including forms, rules, business logic, and workflow
  • Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning models aligned with organizational requirements
  • Build and enhance EPM reports, dashboards, and data integrations supporting Finance leadership
  • Validate financial data across EPM, ERP, and reporting tools to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Partner with FP&A teams to understand planning requirements and translate them into structured EPM configurations
  • Troubleshoot EPM issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting cycles including scenario modeling and variance analysis
  • Assist with testing cycles including unit testing, UAT, and regression validation for EPM enhancements
  • Document calculation logic, data flows, and configuration decisions for long term maintainability
  • Provide guidance to end users on planning processes, reporting tools, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Oracle EPM Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS) in budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning roles
  • Hands on experience building forms, rules, business logic, and financial models
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Experience developing reports using EPM Reports, Smart View, or related Oracle reporting tools
  • Ability to interpret financial requirements and translate them into EPM configurations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate financial data and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Finance and technical partners

Preferred Experience

  • Experience integrating Oracle EPM with Oracle Cloud ERP (Finance)
  • Familiarity with EPM data structures, metadata management, and security models
  • Background in consulting or project based work environments
  • Experience supporting planning needs in a large, multi entity organization
