Position Summary
The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for supporting producers and clients by preparing new business and renewal submissions, obtaining quotes from carriers, coordinating coverage placement, and ensuring all documentation and policy information is accurately maintained within HawkSoft. This role plays a key part in managing the submission, quoting, binding, and documentation process for commercial insurance accounts.
Key Responsibilities
New Business & Submissions
Prepare complete submissions for new business including:
ACORD applications (125, 126, 131, 140)
Supplemental applications
Loss runs
CoStar reports
Brief description of insured operations
Review submission materials to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to marketing.
Marketing & Carrier Communication
Send submissions to appropriate MGA's and carriers for quoting.
Follow up with carriers to confirm receipt, rating status, and obtain quotes.
Maintain communication with carriers during the underwriting and quoting process.
Quoting Coverage
Obtain and prepare quotes for the following coverages through carrier portals or markets:
Proposal Preparation
Policy Binding & Documentation
Bind coverage upon approval and confirmation of terms.
Confirm all required documentation is uploaded and properly listed within HawkSoft.
Ensure each line of business is accurately entered and coverage is confirmed as bound.
Certificate of Insurance Management
Client & Producer Support
Assist producers with account servicing needs.
Aid in communication with insured clients as necessary regarding coverage, documentation, or underwriting requirements.
Systems & Record Management
Set up new business and renewal policies in HawkSoft.
Maintain accurate and complete account records in the agency management system.
Ensure all activities, documentation, and coverage details are updated in HawkSoft.
Inspections
Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and policy structures
Experience with HawkSoft or agency management systems preferred
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, producers, and clients
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously
