Overview

The System Analyst II researches, analyzes, and supports the application(s), related hardware, and how the broader ITS Systems will fit the needs of the Health System and/or specific department needs. Serves as the primary contact and expert for the application and related IT systems. The analyst works with department management and teams to build, install, and support the applications understand systems requirements. Primary responsibilities include analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations. Coordinates all issues that arise during the project for their area in depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. A key activity is to work with users to determine project needs, develop proposals, and recommend opportunities for technological and workflow improvement. They function as the primary contact to support the implementation of new projects and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems and questions from end -users during training, go-live and post go-live periods. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates have an interest in emerging technologies and enjoy working with people to identify how technology can effectively support business needs

Responsibilities
  • 1. Application and IT System Implementation and Support
    • 1.Supports the implementation and maintenance of applications, related IT systems, and hardware including analysis, planning and preparation.
  • 2. Teamwork
    • 2.Creates and maintains regular status reports to Manager.
  • 3. Documentation
    • 3.Documents and maintains all required system design and build documents and configures system accordingly.

    • 4.Provides training to other IT staff and user clients as appropriate.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare and/or technology strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience as a Systems Analyst is required. Ability to analyze workflow to recommend and develop application solutions. Ability to research and interpret data ; to include reporting, preparing and presenting data. Healthcare or Epic experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and ability to deal with simultaneous tasks, communicate effectively, problem solve, and develop creative solutions to complex problems required.
  • Strong organizational. problem solving and listening skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and ability to inspire others required.
  • Must possess a high level of customer service skills and participate as strong, collaborative team player . Capable of taking leadership role in managing end user relationships.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required.
