An Epic Security Analyst is responsible for managing user access and security within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. They configure security settings, assign system roles, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Analysts collaborate with IT teams, compliance officers, and clinical staff to maintain data integrity and protect sensitive patient information. They also troubleshoot access issues, conduct audits, and implement security best practices to safeguard the system.
To thrive as an Epic Security Analyst, you need a strong understanding of information security principles, healthcare compliance, and experience with Epic's electronic health record (EHR) system, typically supported by relevant degrees and certifications such as Epic Security certification or HITRUST. Familiarity with technical tools like Epic UserWeb, security auditing software, and identity access management systems is crucial. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, and stakeholders. These skills are essential to ensure the protection of sensitive patient data, regulatory compliance, and the seamless functioning of the EHR system.
Epic Security Analysts often navigate complex regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, while ensuring that users have appropriate access without exposing sensitive patient data. They may encounter challenges in balancing security measures with the operational needs of clinical staff and adapting quickly to frequent updates or changes within the Epic system. Collaboration across departments to manage user permissions and respond to audit findings is a routine part of the role. Overcoming these challenges requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, making the role both dynamic and impactful within healthcare organizations.

Position Summary
At Planned Parenthood Association of Utah (PPAU), every patient experience depends on having the right supplies in the right place at the right time. We're looking for an organized, proactive, and solutions-driven Inventory Manager to lead our organization-wide procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations.
This full-time (40 hours/week) position is responsible for ensuring our health centers and administrative teams have the medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment they need to deliver exceptional patient care. As the primary administrator of our Hybrent inventory management system, you'll oversee purchasing, inventory controls, and distribution while collaborating closely with our Pharmacist-in-Charge to maintain 340B program integrity and regulatory compliance.
Beyond managing inventory, you'll have the opportunity to build and improve processes across the organization. You'll develop standard operating procedures, conduct site audits, train staff on inventory best practices, and identify innovative ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operational excellence.
If you're someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, leveraging technology, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes, we'd love to have you join our team. Your work will directly support our mission by ensuring our health centers are equipped to provide high-quality, compassionate care to every patient we serve.
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace that values diversity and inclusion and reflects the diversity of our communities and patients. We strongly encourage people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.

System Accuracy: Maintain drug data across EPIC and Hybrent, submitting support tickets (e.g., to BetterHealth) to update NDCs as needed.
Controlled Substances Auditing: Assist the PIC and Nursing Director with monthly controlled substance audits and electronic DEA ordering (CII-CV), maintaining strict compliance and separation of duties.
Health Center Support & Site Audits
Site Inspections: Conduct regular health center visits to audit inventory accuracy, storage conditions, and temperature/security logs.
Staff Support: Guide managers through physical inventory counts, review and approve Hybrent orders, and personally coordinate or deliver supplies when needed.

(Note: Duties may shift based on organizational needs.)
Experience & Education: 3-5 years in inventory management or supply chain logistics (medical/healthcare environment strongly preferred). A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory software (Hybrent preferred) and electronic health records (EPIC preferred). Advanced Excel skills for data tracking are required.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare purchasing, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory compliance (like 340B and pharmaceutical tracking).
