We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This position offers a 36-hour guaranteed work week and requires the candidate to work every third weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients and their families, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing responsibilities as aligned with the standards and competencies specific to the ICU. The nurse's scope of practice encompasses the care of various age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and the elderly across their life cycle.

The RN will execute the Standards of Nursing Practice, including:

  • Assessment
  • Nursing diagnosis
  • Outcome identification
  • Planning
  • Implementation
  • Evaluation

The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing and updating individual patient care plans while coordinating care among various disciplines. The RN is also expected to delegate appropriate activities to other caregivers when necessary, actively participating in shared accountability and decision-making affecting nursing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, holistic nursing care to ICU patients.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Care for fresh open-heart surgery patients with expertise.
