Travel Registered Nurse Endoscopy

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Specialty: Endoscopy

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day

4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute hospital required. ICU background highly preferred.

License: Active nursing license required.

Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Conscious sedation certification highly preferred.

Must-Have: Experience in hard-stop sedation. Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Description: Seeking a registered nurse with experience in Endoscopy. Candidates must have hard-stop sedation experience. Conscious sedation certification is highly preferred. The schedule consists of 4x10-hour shifts, starting from 08:30 to 19:00. Occasional shifts may start at 07:30. Call shifts required include 1-2 weekends or holidays per month. Travel nurses must be comfortable and experienced in all areas of Endoscopy. Floating within Endoscopy procedural and pre/post areas is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio in intake and sedation areas is 1:1. In the post-procedure area, the ratio is 1:2. CRNAs are available for patients requiring MAC sedation. Candidates must demonstrate experience with conscious or procedural sedation. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirement is 1 weekend per month as a call shift. Hospital preference is for candidates with experience in high-volume, high-acuity, teaching, and trauma facilities. Daily census ranges from 20 to 30 patients within the unit. Candidates should be comfortable functioning independently and assisting physicians during procedures. Proficient skills in administering conscious sedation and airway management are essential. Experience with endoscopic procedures like Colonoscopy, EGD, and EUS is needed. Sedation expertise is a key requirement. Candidates must have strong technical skills and ability to manage sedation workflow. Electronic charting experience is necessary, specifically with Epic.
