Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to design your practice around your professional goals within a premier, tech-forward environment, distinguished as one of the few HIMSS Stage VII facilities in the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient
  • Develop an appropriate anesthesia care plan based on patient history and surgical needs
  • Select, obtain, and administer the anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs and fluids
  • Manage patient airway and pulmonary status using masks, endotracheal intubation, or mechanical ventilation
  • Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting and administering medications
  • Provide post-anesthesia follow-up care and evaluate patient response to anesthesia
  • Support 28 ORs and Non-Operating Room Anesthesia areas including 7 GI suites, Cath Labs, and IR
  • Manage a daily patient volume of 2 to 10 cases depending on complexity
  • Participate in a 1 weekend per month call rotation
  • Utilize AI-functionality within the Epic EMR system for inpatient and outpatient documentation
  • Maintain compliance with HIMSS Stage VII standards for digital medical record sophistication
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff in a multidisciplinary team
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
  • Current state registered nurse license
  • Current state advanced practice nurse prescriber license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred
