The Application Analyst - Epic Resolute supports the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and ongoing operational support of Epic Resolute Revenue Cycle applications, including Professional Billing (PB), Hospital Billing (HB), Claims, and Electronic Remittance. This role partners closely with Revenue Cycle operations, clinical, financial, and technical stakeholders to support workflow optimization, post-go-live stabilization, quarterly Epic upgrades, integrated testing, operational support, and continuous improvement of Epic Revenue Cycle solutions.
For this recruitment, the primary operational focus is Professional Claims, Electronic Remittance, Reimbursement Contracts, and the Benefits Engine. Experience supporting Charge Router is highly desirable.

Purpose
The Application Analyst - Epic Resolute serves as the subject matter expert and technical resource for Epic Resolute application areas. This role collaborates with operational, financial, clinical, and technical teams to support application build, configuration, workflow optimization, post-go-live stabilization, operational support, integrated testing, quarterly Epic upgrades, and ongoing enhancement of Epic Revenue Cycle applications, with an emphasis on Professional Claims, Electronic Remittance, Reimbursement Contracts, and Benefits Engine functionality while ensuring reliable system performance and efficient business operations.
Responsibilities
Application Implementation and Support
  • Design, build, configure, test, maintain, and optimize Epic Resolute applications supporting Professional Billing (PB), Hospital Billing (HB), Professional Claims, Electronic Remittance, Reimbursement Contracts, Benefits Engine, and related Revenue Cycle workflows
  • Analyze operational, financial, clinical, and technical workflows to develop effective application solutions
  • Serve as the liaison between Revenue Cycle operations, providers, Information Technology, application users, and vendors to resolve complex issues
  • Support application build, configuration, operational support, and post-go-live stabilization activities
  • Participate in break/fix support and workflow optimization initiatives

Workflow Analysis and Optimization
  • Conduct workflow analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement across Revenue Cycle operations
  • Design and implement Epic Resolute application solutions supporting departmental and organizational needs
  • Collaborate with operational and financial stakeholders to prioritize enhancements
  • Recommend workflow improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and user satisfaction
  • Support continuous optimization following Epic implementations and quarterly Epic upgrade cycles

System Maintenance and Testing
  • Maintain and support Epic Resolute applications
  • Perform configuration validation, debugging, integrated testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Develop test scripts, timelines, and testing plans supporting application changes and quarterly Epic upgrades
  • Coordinate testing activities across applications and participate in end-user validation efforts
  • Ensure application changes comply with established change management procedures

Technical Collaboration
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, database, and technical teams to identify and resolve issues impacting Epic Resolute applications
  • Support cross-functional problem solving and operational improvement initiatives
  • Participate in planning, implementation, and optimization efforts supporting Epic Revenue Cycle applications
  • Communicate technical recommendations and operational impacts to stakeholders

Operational Support and Continuous Improvement
  • Provide ongoing operational support for Epic Resolute applications, including break/fix support, enhancements, upgrades, and change requests
  • Support quarterly Epic upgrades, new releases, application enhancements, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Follow established ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting Revenue Cycle workflows and application performance

  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting Epic applications, healthcare information technology, or clinical information systems
  • Experience supporting application build, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and optimization within a healthcare environment
  • Experience supporting Epic Resolute applications, including Professional Billing (PB), Hospital Billing (HB), Claims, and Revenue Cycle workflows
  • Experience performing workflow analysis and partnering with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to improve application performance
  • Experience supporting integrated testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and application validation activities
  • Experience supporting post-go-live operations, break/fix support, quarterly Epic upgrades, and ongoing operational maintenance
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
