Job description

Senior Product Manager, Health Systems Data Platforms

About the Role:

Natera is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of data platform initiatives within the Health Systems division. This role will focus on enabling secure and scalable data sharing between Natera's datasets and health system clinical data to unlock insights that improve patient outcomes and advance precision medicine.

The Senior Product Manager will drive the development of data platforms, user interfaces, and AI-enabled analytics tools that transform integrated genomic and clinical data into actionable insights for clinicians, researchers, and health system partners. This individual will partner closely with engineering, clinical informatics, data science, and health system stakeholders to build products that embed genomic intelligence into everyday clinical workflows.

This role requires a product leader with deep experience building enterprise data products for large health systems, strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, and a passion for translating complex healthcare data into intuitive and impactful products.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Natera's health system data sharing initiatives, including platforms that integrate Natera's genomic data with health system clinical data to enable advanced analytics, clinical insights, and operational intelligence.

Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities for secure data exchange, interoperability, and analytics across health systems, including use cases that support clinical decision-making, research, and population health.

Collaborate with engineering, data science, and design teams to define product requirements (PRDs, user stories, user flows) and deliver scalable, high-quality data platform, analytics, and AI-driven insights solutions.

Develop products and user experiences that enable clinicians and health systems to derive insights and actions from combined genomic and clinical datasets, including dashboards, workflow integrations, and AI-assisted recommendations.

Evaluate and integrate third-party technologies (e.g., data interoperability frameworks, analytics platforms, and AI/ML tools) to accelerate development and improve performance.

Develop and track success metrics (e.g., adoption, data utilization, clinical impact, performance, and partner satisfaction) to measure impact and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Partner with health system stakeholders, clinical informatics teams, and business leaders to ensure seamless integration into clinical workflows and EMR ecosystems.

Qualifications

● Proven experience designing, launching, and scaling enterprise data platforms or healthcare data products, particularly those involving health system clinical data integration.

● Deep understanding of healthcare data interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR and HL7, along with experience integrating with major EMR platforms such as Epic or Oracle Health.

● Experience working with large health systems to deliver data-driven solutions that support clinical workflows, analytics, or research initiatives.

● Demonstrated ability to translate complex clinical and genomic data assets into scalable software solutions that deliver measurable value to providers and healthcare organizations.

● Proven record of driving innovation through data, analytics, and AI-enabled products; adaptable, hands-on, and strategic problem solver.

● Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, clinicians, informatics leaders, and executive stakeholders.

● Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills; comfortable using data (SQL proficiency preferred) to drive product decisions.

● Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, healthcare informatics, or related field.

● 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, healthcare technology, or data platform product management, with significant experience working with health systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

● High integrity and strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders.

● Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines effectively.

● Strong understanding of modern data architectures, databases, and AI/ML concepts, including cloud data platforms, data pipelines, LLMa, and technologies used to build scalable analytics and intelligent data applications.

● Proven ability to synthesize health system requirements and market information to drive to a product market fit for solutions.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presenting technical content to diverse audiences.

● Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and align cross-functional teams.

● Analytical, problem-solving mindset with experience gathering customer insights and translating them into actionable strategies.
