As a member of MITRE’s Center for Transforming Health, The Health Informational Services Group Leader will provide Health Information Technology, clinical experience, and system analysis leadership to the Department of Health and Human Services and other Federal healthcare sponsors. You are a clinical leader with proven Health IT expertise, familiar with Electronic Health Record systems, clinical information systems, clinical workflows, clinical coding, and quality improvement programs at the state and national level. You have a strong systems engineering perspective with a penchant for solving healthcare system problems. As the Group Leader of the Health Information Services Group, you, along with your team, will apply Health IT and clinical knowledge to critical national problems in Clinical Quality Measures, Clinical Decision Support, Health Informatics, Health Policy, and related digital healthcare system challenges. Your work will involve collaborating with MITRE’s senior healthcare leaders and MITRE’s Federal Healthcare sponsors to identify, analyze, and achieve national healthcare goals.

Requirements:
MS in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D. or D.O.) required.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, desired. 
Minimum of 8 years of Healthcare domain understanding. Minimum of 3 years of HHS or Federal Government experience with health programs.
• Experience with analysis, design and construction of the next generation of heath IT systems, standards, and processes.
• Demonstrated experience with health system data architecture, COTS implementation and integration, and health system operations.
Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of current healthcare issues, solutions, and trends.
