Job Summary:

Leads medical records team offering guidance on medical record documentation and completion, release of information, coding/research, transcription and retrieval of medical records, financial, quality/administrative review, legal and risk management. Assures accurate and timely completion in accordance with health record policy and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the most effective operation of the unit through program development, process improvement and coordination of processes across functions.
  • Schedules and assigns work to staff and trains in methods and procedures.
  • Reviews and updates databases, following up on incomplete data and ensuring accurate updates.
