Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for this position.

Requirements
  • Active IL RN license (or actively applying for IL license)
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience required
  • Experience in MS/Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings
  • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring on unit and remote
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIHSS preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Level I trauma experience preferred
  • Required Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post cardiac angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post cardiac cath, Pre/Post cardiac surgery, Sheath removal, TR band
  • Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management
  • Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post hemodialysis management, renal failure
  • Required IV Therapy & Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
  • Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin protocols, manage cardiac drips (no titration), manage vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips
  • Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, experience with surgical drains
  • Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleurโ€‘evac), external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, nonโ€‘invasive airway management
  • Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac
