Position Summary:


We are seeking a EPC / Project Execution Manager to support the delivery of distributed energy, energy storage projects , solar, in the Chicago area.


This role focuses on on-site execution and coordination, including EPC contractor management, construction supervision, equipment integration, commissioning support, and overall project delivery. The position is primarily focused on local, site-based projects, such as self-build power plant.


Key Responsibilities:

EPC & Contractor Management

  • Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors during project execution.
  • Track construction progress, schedule, quality, safety, and budget performance.
  • Support resolution of on-site technical and commercial issues.
  • Review and manage change orders and contractor claims.

Construction & Site Execution

  • Coordinate daily/weekly construction activities with contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure construction activities align with project schedule and design requirements.
  • Conduct on-site execution as needed.
  • Interface with local inspectors and relevant authorities (AHJ).

Equipment & System Coordination

  • Coordinate delivery and installation of major equipment (BESS, PCS, EMS, etc.).
  • Manage interface between EPC contractor, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Support installation and system integration activities.

Commissioning & Project Closeout

  • Support commissioning activities, testing, and energization.
  • Coordinate system startup and troubleshooting with vendors and EPC teams.
  • Support punch list resolution and project closeout.
  • Help ensure successful achievement of COD.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in EPC, construction management, or project execution.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, or construction teams.
  • Background in solar, energy storage, electrical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills in a fast-paced project environment.


Language Requirement

  • English (Fluent Mandarin strongly preferred)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in solar PV or BESS projects.
  • Experience with electrical systems, substations, or power distribution.
  • Commissioning or startup experience.
  • Experience working with U.S. contractors and local permitting authorities.
  • Background in EPC contractor, construction firm, or owner’s engineering team.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
