About Us:
At Envision Plastics and Design, we shape customer ideas through our No Molds Required plastics fabrication technology. The No Molds Required method allows us to design and fabricate our customers' custom plastic enclosures without needing expensive tooling or molds!

Located in White Bear Lake

Hours: 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, and 4-hour shifts on Fridays

Job Summary

Performs tasks to ship and receive product according to specifications. When not shipping, this position fills in their time by bonding small parts using solvents or performing other assembly tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Packages and ships finished goods for shipment
  • Uses telephonecomputer to schedule shipments
  • Occasionally purchase raw materials for fabricated parts
  • Performs material/finished goods inventory control
  • Heat-stake brass inserts
  • Bonds complex plastic parts per customer requirements using solvents
  • Control and safe handling of solvents/bonding chemicals/syringes/needles
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Perform other duties and assume responsibility as assigned
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Sufficient computer experience to be able to process UPS shipments, print labels, packing slips and perform basic web searches.
  • Ability to communicate via phone or email with co-workers or external contacts such as vendors or freight carriers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Consistent work history with multi-year tenure in past positions.
  • Positive attitude
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification
  • Manufacturing experience

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Reaching: Extending hands(s) and arms(s) in any direction.

  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
  • Use of fingers: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

  • Strong hand–eye coordination and ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor precision.
