  • Position: Plastics Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)
  • Location: Hudson, MA (on-site)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (based on business needs)
  • Compensation: $110K - $130K (Dependent on Experience)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Summary: The Plastics Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding) will support manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency. This role is responsible for designing and implementing process improvements, supporting new product launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams on tooling and material selection, and providing technical expertise to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and enhance overall production performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing key custom customer projects and serving as their key point of contact
  • Read & understand blue prints and 3D CAD files
  • Utilize Solidworks software and manage all new projects and support manufacturing and tool quoting
  • Review and approve all tool designs and design changes
  • Work with manufacturing team to verify projects are set up for production and all tooling is working effectively
  • Work with local tool vendors when mold repairs need to be outsourced


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with Plastics Injection Molding
  • Bachelor's or higher in Engineering (Plastics preferred)
  • Proficient use of IQMS and Solidworks / AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of mold building, raw materials, equipment, and molding techniques
