JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SOCIAL WORK/COUNSELING INTERN (INPATIENT)

Social Work (Counseling) interns are responsible for:
  • Completing clinical or psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and skills-based groups with geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Assisting masters level clinicians with obtaining information to determine level of care and initiating admission to inpatient or outpatient services.
  • Aiding program therapists with scheduling aftercare appointments and social service supports.
  • Participating in assigned activities that support the function of the social services, outpatient, and intake departments.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
  • Education & Licensure: Enrolled in 2nd year MSW or accredited counseling/psychology program at an approved school. Must be in an LPC or LSW eligible program.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Social work and counseling interns are expected to be on-site 3 days per week as scheduled by assigned program. Internship opportunities begin in August and May. Interns must be willing to commit to interning for at least 2 full semesters. Interns are expected to be on site during school breaks. Must be able to attend 2 week Monday through Friday, on site orientation and training prior to starting their internship. Must also be able to pass a competency exam and evaluation.
