Here's the Gist:
Wolfspeed is seeking a dedicated Corporate Health and Safety Professional to help us Protect the Pack by ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and programs, fostering a culture of EHS excellence across the organization.
The Day-to-Day:
  • Develops, implements, and monitors company safety & industrial hygiene programs and standards to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Provides safety & IH technical support to site EHS teams in order to solve complex problems.
  • Interacts with a variety of departments and business units in order to effectively manage and implement projects and initiatives related to safety and industrial hygiene.
  • Monitors emerging compliance changes related to occupational safety and health and evaluates the impact of those changes on the company.
  • Leads the EHS training strategy for the company, ensuring effective implementation of training courses and business processes through partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Recommends corrective action where health and safety hazards exist.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • CIH and/or CSP certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial hygiene or safety role, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
