Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental team in Midland, TX. In this role, you'll support environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients while gaining valuable field and office experience.

You’ll work alongside experienced scientists, geologists, engineers, and project managers who are invested in your professional growth and development. As a member of our team, you’ll contribute to a variety of environmental projects by supporting field investigations, data analysis, reporting, and project coordination activities. Responsibilities may include:

Support environmental site investigations and remediation projects through field sampling of soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and surface water, while coordinating field activities.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, geologists, engineers, and project managers while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50-75% of the time to support project needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Previous internship, field, laboratory, or environmental consulting experience.
  • Experience with environmental sampling
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Authorization to work within the United States without Visa (ie. OPT, CPT, H1B, etc) sponsorship

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
