What is an environmental campaign?

An environmental campaign is an organized effort to raise awareness, influence policy, or encourage behavior change to protect the environment. These campaigns can focus on various issues such as climate change, pollution, conservation, or wildlife protection. They often use strategies like public education, advocacy, community events, and social media outreach to engage individuals, communities, and policymakers. The goal is to drive positive environmental action and make a measurable impact on environmental issues.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals working in environmental campaign roles?

Professionals in environmental campaign roles often encounter challenges such as balancing advocacy with factual accuracy, mobilizing public engagement, and navigating regulatory or political barriers. Coordinating with diverse stakeholders—such as community organizations, policymakers, and scientific experts—requires strong communication and project management skills. Additionally, limited resources and tight deadlines can make prioritizing campaign strategies essential. Overcoming these hurdles provides opportunities for creativity, teamwork, and meaningful impact on environmental issues.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Environmental Campaign roles, and why are they important?

To thrive in Environmental Campaign roles, you need a solid understanding of environmental science, public policy, and advocacy, often supported by a relevant degree or experience in environmental studies. Familiarity with data analysis tools, digital marketing platforms, and content management systems is typically required. Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills help drive effective outreach and coalition-building. These skills are essential for mobilizing public support, influencing policy, and achieving meaningful environmental outcomes.

This individual contributor role partners closely with Product Marketing, Inside Sales, Sales Enablement, Regional Marketing, and Commercial Excellence teams - including Tradeshows, Creative Services, Content, and Digital Marketing - to ensure campaigns are executed end to end, aligned to business priorities, and designed to achieve lead and revenue targets. Acting as the quarterback for assigned campaigns, this role ensures flawless delivery across channels and rigorous measurement against defined KPIs.

Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Alignment

  • Translate business priorities into tactical campaign plans with clear channel mixes mapped to the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Segment Leaders, and Regional teams to support growth initiatives, new product launches, and pipeline acceleration.

Campaign Execution

  • Manage day-to-day execution of assigned campaigns across digital, events, and partner channels.
  • Coordinate with internal Centers of Excellence (creative, content, digital, tradeshows) to deliver integrated, high-quality campaign assets.
  • Ensure campaigns launch on time, on budget, and with measurable outputs.

Optimization & Reporting

  • Monitor campaign performance in real time and adjust tactics to maximize ROI.
  • Track and report on KPIs including engagement, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue contribution.
  • Partner with Analytics and Revenue Operations to deliver reporting and insights back to stakeholders.

Lead Management & Funnel Support

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales to optimize lead capture, routing, and nurturing processes.
  • Ensure campaign-generated leads are seamlessly handed off and actively supported through the funnel.
  • Contribute to funnel conversion improvements by driving higher-quality, sales-ready marketing qualified leads.
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience in B2B marketing, with emphasis on campaign and demand generation.
  • Proven expertise in multi-channel campaign execution (digital, events, and/or partner marketing).
  • Strong knowledge of funnel management and lead lifecycle processes.
  • Data-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to analyze KPIs and optimize programs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across teams and regions.                                                                                                    #LI-Hybrid
