$260,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investors, and financial institutions in sophisticated corporate transactions.

Ideal Background

2–6 years of corporate transactional or mergers & acquisitions experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing public companies, privately held companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers and sellers, and institutional investors

• Experience handling mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, equity financings, corporate reorganizations, and other strategic transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, financing documents, and other corporate transaction documents

• Experience conducting legal due diligence, managing transaction workstreams, and coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams through closing

• Experience advising clients regarding corporate governance, securities matters, and general corporate issues is preferred

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
