We specialize in planning, engineering, and building food process plants and cold-storage warehouse and distribution facilities for food processors, distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and more.

Job Summary

Food Tech is seeking an Architectural Designer I with experience in the design of industrial and/or commercialfacilities and ideally in the design of food production facilities including knowledge and experience in hygienic design principles, sanitary design, insulated cold storage design, and overall building envelope design.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Production of Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents.
  • Coordinating with structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines.
  • Coordinating with process and packaging equipment drawings.
  • Preparing design criteria for bid packages for pricing by subcontractors.
  • Performing submittal reviews, RFI responses and field visits
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science with a concentration in Architecture or related 4-year degree\
  • 5-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture a plus.
  • Architectural experience in food production a plus.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of Procore.
  • Knowledge of Navisworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, positive attitude.
  • Ability to effectively be involved in multiple projects
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
