Job description

Company Description The UPS Store is a retail store offering shipping, postal, printing, and business services. This location is locally owned and operated. You will not be working for UPS.

Role Description The Center Associate at The UPS Store located on Hendricks Ave. is a part- or full-time, on-site role responsible for delivering courteous and efficient customer service. Day-to-day tasks include assisting customers with shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox services, accurately processing transactions, and providing product and service recommendations. The Center Associate also supports daily store operations by maintaining a clean and organized environment, and following company procedures and guidelines. This role works closely with store leadership and team members to ensure a positive in-center experience and uphold The UPS Store’s brand standards of world-class customer service.

Qualifications

  • Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers and clearly explain products and services.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale skills, with comfort using software for printing, shipping, and data entry.
  • Ability to lift and move 40+ lb packages and supplies as needed, and stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to accurately prepare shipments, handle paperwork, and maintain a tidy store environment.
  • Reliability and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, follow procedures, and support opening or closing routines.
  • Prior retail, service, or shipping experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn and follow training is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, and availability to work a consistent schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Ideal candidates have flexible availability most weekdays from 7:45 AM - 7:00 PM and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM. (We work with school schedules and other conflicts as much as possible!).

Starting Pay is $15/hour plus potential for bonus.
