Job description

SUMMARY:

Media Lab Print uses digital printing technology to provide Clients quality prints, on time, every time. Our digital prints are consistent, cost-effective solutions our Clients trust.


The Print Service Team uses the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and the Apple iWork Suite to print Brochures, Presentations, Flyers, Business Cards, and other custom collateral.


This role includes general administrative office work, invoicing, bookkeeping, inventory, order tracking and other light accounting duties, both with and without supervision. This position will be the business operations lead of the Print Division, providing resources and support to the Vice President of Print in running the business efficiently and effectively.


SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Excellent communication skills, in both written and oral formats

Knowledge of basic accounting skills

Knowledge of general office administration

Some graphic design knowledge is helpful- layout, Adobe, etc.

Great customer service skills and a positive attitude

Maintain a professional demeanor under pressure

Ability to review and ensure project documents are complete, accurate, current and executed properly

Strong organizational skills for business operations


KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Bookkeeping and Invoicing

Processing orders for production (training provided)

Corresponding via email with customers on order status, billing, collections, etc.

Familiarity with Fed Ex shipping processes and shipping practices

Maintaining organization and scheduling for business operations of the office

Strong Word, Excel and Microsoft Office capability

Executive Administration skillset

Interfacing with the MediaLab Finance Manager for accounting tasks


Skills needed for this position include:

Strong math abilities and problem-solving skills

Dependability and solid attendance record

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Strong initiative required- able to quickly learn new skills

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Previous experience working in a team setting is preferable


Additional environmental requirements for this position:

In-person role, casual work environment in a warehouse/industrial space.

Casual dress ok, closed toe shoes required.

Must be able to work in a noisy environment around loud machines.

Must be able to tolerate potential oders from print operations.


Schedule:

This is a fulltime position with in-person work Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm, with occasional overtime paid at time and a half.

Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, often standing, bending, reaching and lifting 5 - 25 lbs.


REPORTS:

This position reports to the VP of Print Operations and the Print Manager


Work Environment:

  • This position requires working at a computer, workstation, operating print machinery, sitting or standing for long periods of time, in a warehouse or office environment.
  • Work in person in our physical warehouse/office is required.
