Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift to produce high-quality parts to specification using CNC machine tools, hand tools, and precision inspection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC setup, troubleshooting, editing programs, and maintaining quality standards in a manufacturing environment.


This position qualifies for a

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • $1,500 paid after 6 months
  • $1,500 paid after 1 year
  • Eligible for non-agency/direct-hire candidates only
Compensation
  • Mid-Level Candidates: $25-$29/hour
  • Experienced Candidates: $30-$40/hour
  • 2nd Shift Differential: Receive an additional 25% shift differential on top of base pay


Responsibilities
  • Load and unload CNC machines
  • Change tooling as needed
  • Set up CNC machines, including: 
    • Haas
    • Mazak
    • Doosan
  • Perform machine offsets
  • Edit G-Code and M-Code programs
  • Complete secondary operations, including: 
    • Broaching
    • Buffing
    • Deburring
    • Grinding
    • Other related duties
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Schedule

2nd Shift:
Monday - Thursday
3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

  • 25% shift differential included
Qualifications
  • Experience operating and setting up CNC machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code editing
  • Experience using inspection and measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic computer skills

Basic math skills (standard and metric)

Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

Ability to follow work instructions accurately

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)

Ability to work well independently as well as with others

Have attention to detail

Ability to multi-task

Ability to proficiently read and write in English

Ability to follow all safety rules

Ability to work independently without guidance

Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code and ability to write basic programs

Knowledge of machine operations

Ability to operate crane

Ability to read and understand a blueprint, tolerances, and drafting symbols related to machining

Experience with Haas, Mazak and Doosan equipment is a plus

Ability to do machining problem solving

Ability to solve tooling issues
