Job description

We develop, engineer, implement and maintain technology that requires highly trained and skilled professionals to maintain and further develop our quality processes.  Currently, we are currently seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team. A subject matter expert with DCS and Safety Instrumented Systems, who can plan, manage and execute DCS upgrades and migration projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads large or complex service projects.
  • Responsible for developing or providing oversight to developing the project execution plan and strategy.
  • Responsible for all technical aspects relating to successful implementation of projects.
  • Takes initiative and identifies solutions to complex issues.
  • Monitors quality and rate of technical progress.
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness of project deliverable documentation.
  • Prepares, presents papers, and/or participates in Yokogawa or external industry conferences or meetings.
  • Serves as a personal example of frugal and efficient time management, and reports time promptly and accurately as required by company policies.
  • Understands, follows and continuously promotes safe work practices.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Candidate must have prior experience with

  • Upgrades or migration of control systems, expansion and modification of Distributed Control System
  • Industrial automation protocols (Ethernet IP, Modbus TC, OPC, etc.)
  • Configuration of Servers, workstations, VLAN networks. Installing system software & patches
  • Configuring Active Directory, Backup and recovery systems & Virtualized system architecture.
  • Experience working on Plant Historians and Alarm rationalization is desired.

Ability to identify opportunities in the market and identify to sales channel

Ability to multi-task.

Willing to learn and expand into new areas of knowledge related to job function.

Travel outside of home base could be up to 30%

Prior experience configuring Yokogawa control/safety systems is a plus.

Education & Experience: BS degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines and 12 or more years of experience
