JOB SUMMARY

The Accessibility Business Analyst supports the IT Project Manager in planning and carrying out the Clerk's Office digital accessibility initiative. The position serves as the working link among IT, business units, content owners, vendors, communications staff, and legal counsel. The analyst turns accessibility requirements into clear business and technical requirements; reviews websites and public-facing documents; coordinates and verifies remediation; and helps employees build accessibility into their everyday work.

This is a hands-on analyst and project support role. The IT Project Manager retains responsibility for overall project governance, schedule, budget, executive reporting, and major project decisions

Requirements and business analysis

· Gather, document, and maintain accessibility-related business, functional, and technical requirements for the Clerk's Office website, web applications, online forms, and public-facing electronic documents.

· Translate applicable ADA requirements and recognized accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA, into practical acceptance criteria, checklists, workflows, and user stories.

· Map current processes, identify gaps, and recommend sustainable processes for creating, reviewing, approving, publishing, and maintaining accessible content.

Accessibility review and issue management

· Conduct or coordinate accessibility reviews using automated scanning tools, manual keyboard testing, screen-reader testing, color contrast checks, and document inspection methods.

· Review PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, forms, images, and other public-facing materials for accessibility barriers.

· Document findings in clear, actionable language; assign severity and priority; identify owners; and track issues through correction and validation.

· Re-test corrected content and solutions and document whether established acceptance criteria have been met.

Remediation coordination

· Coordinate remediation work with web developers, content owners, document authors, vendors, and contractors.

· Provide practical guidance on headings, reading order, alternative text, links, tables, forms, captions, color contrast, keyboard access, and other accessibility features.

· Help prioritize remediation based on public impact, frequency of use, severity of the barrier, legal or operational risk, and available resources.

· Escalate unresolved barriers, resource needs, vendor concerns, and decisions to the IT Project Manager.

Project support, reporting, and documentation

· Maintain the project inventory of websites, applications, forms, and public-facing documents within scope.

· Track milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, action items, testing results, and remediation status.
