Position Summary:
The Process Automation Specialist will maintain Gabor Design Build's interactive digital forms. The specialist works on creating structured layouts in Microsoft Excel and converting them into professional, interactive, fillable PDF documents. The tech-savvy, self-starter will have cutting-edge knowledge of modern spreadsheet formatting, advanced automated formulas, macro creation, and Adobe Acrobat Pro form creation tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to bring highly efficient, automated document workflows to Southeastern Wisconsin's leading residential remodeler.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and optimize advanced Microsoft Excel workflows utilizing advanced formulas, Power Query, VBA, macros, and other automation tools to support data modeling, material tracking, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop automated document workflows that extract data from internal databases, spreadsheets, emails, or other business systems and populate interactive, fillable PDF forms, including client service agreements, contractor onboarding documents, and other operational forms.
  • Create and maintain integrations between internal software, supplier portals, public municipal websites, and other business applications using APIs, web scraping, Power Automate, or scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Analyze existing administrative and operational workflows to identify manual processes, recommend automation opportunities, and implement technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and implement new automation technologies, software tools, and digital workflows to support continuous process improvement across the organization.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose technical challenges, independently research solutions, and implement effective, scalable improvements.
  • Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to understand business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and support ongoing system enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of automation processes, workflows, scripts, and technical solutions while ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong desire to learn new technologies, adapt to changing business needs, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Recent graduates and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Power Query, VBA, macros, or other spreadsheet automation tools.
  • Experience with or exposure to automation scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript; experience with libraries such as openpyxl is preferred.
  • Familiarity with APIs, web architecture, web scraping technologies (e.g., BeautifulSoup or Selenium), or low-code automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong Work Ethic, high accountability, a positive attitude, openness to teamwork, and a healthy sense of humor.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently (75% to 100%) standing, walking, sitting, light lifting, light carrying, handling, speaking, hearing, seeing and typing.
