Job description

Overview
Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M's) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington DC Metro areas. H&M is seeking an energetic, career minded individual to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.
This entry-level position, supporting both project and warehouse operations, is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the business from the ground up and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for receiving, organizing, and managing materials, equipment, stock and field supplies, physically loading and unloading trucks, moving and repositioning materials using forklifts and other machinery.
  • Responsible for Warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assists with managing tools & equipment tracking.
  • Assists with tracking Fleet Maintenance.
  • Responsible for ordering/receiving/maintaining an adequate stock of Safety (PPE) items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment including receiving, ordering, and tracking materials, a plus.
  • Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow directions working independently or in a team environment.
  • Must be able to operate/drive all warehouse equipment. Previous experience operating a forklift, a plus.
  • Must be able to spend the day doing various physical activities to include walking up/down stairs or ladders, and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive a 30-foot box truck and obtain and maintain a DOT physical card. (Company paid)
  • Basic computer skills, and strong communication skills (reading/writing/speaking) to effectively communicate with others.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, a plus.
  • Ability to make deliveries in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area.

Starting Hourly Rate $20.00 + Depending Upon Experience.
