Job Summary

The Visual Merchandising Lead provides exceptional guest service while leading the execution of visual merchandising strategies that drive sales, enhance the guest experience, and support business objectives. This position serves as a key leader within the store, partnering with the Store Director and Assistant Store Director to oversee daily operations, coach team members, and ensure all visual presentation standards are executed and maintained. The Visual Merchandising Lead combines strong merchandising expertise with leadership skills to maximize the store’s retail potential through compelling product presentation, space planning, and operational excellence.

This role is considered an entry-level supervisory position with responsibility for leading team members, supporting store operations, and championing visual merchandising initiatives.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Leadership and Team Member Results

  • Holds self accountable to all Event Network standards of performance and behavior.
  • Supports the Store Director and Assistant Store Director in leading team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Assists with training, coaching, and developing team members in visual merchandising standards, sales techniques, and guest engagement.
  • Builds strong relationships with team members to align and support execution of business goals.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by modeling Event Network’s Core Values and Company Culture.
  • Resolves guest service concerns in partnership with store leadership.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Actively pursues opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Fosters strong relationships with venue partners and team members to support business initiatives and growth.
  • Complies with all company personnel policies and procedures.

 

 

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation

  • Leads the execution and maintenance of all visual merchandising directives, planograms, and presentation standards as communicated by Store Leadership and the Support Services Center.
  • Ensures merchandise is set according to presentation plans and merchandising strategies.
  • Identifies product presentation opportunities to enhance store appearance, extend the venue experience into the retail environment, maximize space allocation, and drive sales performance.
  • Analyzes merchandising trends and department performance to improve product productivity and achieve positive sales results.
  • Champions store space planning initiatives and ensures visual consistency throughout all store departments.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, safe, and visually compelling shopping environment.
  • Performs daily merchandising tasks including replenishment, product placement, recovery, and display maintenance.

Business and Financial Results

  • Supports store leadership in achieving sales, per cap, capture rate, purchase with purchase, and other performance goals.
  • Achieves personal sales goals and contributes to overall store success.
  • Coaches team members on sales-driving behaviors and visual merchandising techniques that support business objectives.
  • Consistently identifies opportunities to maximize sales through effective product placement and presentation.
  • Assists with higher-level transactions, register operations, and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensures accuracy and accountability in register transactions, cash balancing, and safe procedures as assigned.
  • Works assigned schedule and maintains flexibility to support business needs.

Operations and Compliance

  • Completes all required product knowledge, operations, leadership, and merchandising training.
  • Participates in company initiatives and ensures sustainable execution within the store.
  • Responds to communication in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports inventory control, loss prevention, and operational compliance procedures.
  • Maintains full knowledge of the venue, exhibits, programs, and events to better serve guests.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements.

  • Consistently demonstrates Event Network’s guest service standards and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Serves as a role model for delivering exceptional guest service and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of retail experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong retail sales background with demonstrated merchandising and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, space planning, and product presentation strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Sales-driven with a passion for guest service and creating engaging retail experiences.
  • Ability to analyze sales and merchandising performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Pay Range: $19/hr-$21/hr
