Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
OnCue is searching for a creative Communications Intern to join our growing company. The Communications Intern will be responsible for planning and strategy, as well as social listening and analyzing of OnCue's social media. This position will also support in maintaining the corporate communication avenues, including copywriting, organizing content, fact-checking and more. The Communications Intern must know AP Style and have strong interpersonal skills. This position will work closely with the Graphics Department, which will review all visual assets and assist in sourcing materials.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to the day-to-day functions of the communications department, including writing internal and external-facing materials such as press releases, talking points, internal newsletter articles, website copy and more.
  • Assist in community relations and outreach in support of reputation management.
  • Develop and propose engaging social media concepts and manage posting schedules for social media.
  • Set clear benchmarks for campaigns and track using available analytics for social media.
  • Identify target demographics to create tailored copy for assigned material.
  • Coordinate with Graphics for ongoing efforts and creative assistance.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Familiarity with writing in AP Style
  • Knowledge of social media platform analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work quickly and independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Possesses strong organizational skills
