Red Bull New York ("RBNY") are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league's ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. RBNY's First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey and its Second Team plays its home matches at Montclair State University. RBNY are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, after which the team is named.

RBNY's First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters' Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion, while the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, spanning local partnerships across New York and New Jersey. RBNY's Academy is ranked among the top development organizations in the country.

Purpose of this Internship

The Game Presentation & Entertainment Internship is designed for college students who are interested in live sports entertainment and production. They would assist in creating a unique fan experience and environment on a match day at Red Bull Arena. They will learn about entertainment, stage management, video board production and other aspects of game presentation. This intern will report directly to the Manager of Game Presentation & Entertainment. 

This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

Job Description

How to be a stage manager through executing partnership presentations, in-arena host live hits and additional events.  

Ideating on new elements to bring to the fan experience on match days. 

Script writing and overall production elements.  

How to prepare for and execute the in-house production for sporting events. Work with equipment and shadow various roles in a live control room. 

Engagement with supporter groups and finding new ways to integrate them into the match entertainment. Brainstorming new traditions and supporter involvement elements. 

Qualifications

Undergraduate student with an interest in Game Entertainment, Field Marketing and Production 

Prior experience in sports/entertainment is a plus 

Strong work ethic and a self-starter when given projects to own 

Ability to handle a fast-paced, high stress environment 

Flexibility to work weekends and nights for events 

Work well in a team focused environment
