Mortgage Sales (Paid Training)

This is not a passive training program. From day one, you'll be actively engaged, learning the skills and confidence needed to succeed in a fast-paced, rewarding sales environment.

This position is designed to provide a clear path from Entry-Level Mortgage Sales into a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer position. You’ll learn the industry, develop your sales skills, obtain your licensing, and gain the confidence and experience needed to build a successful career in mortgage lending.

You’ll work alongside experienced mortgage professionals who are invested in your development, providing hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship to help you build a successful long-term career in the mortgage industry.

What You'll Accomplish Within Your First 90 Days

  • Completed mortgage licensing and compliance training (100% company-paid)

Compensation:

$16 - $18 hourly + commission


Responsibilities:
  • Spend the first few weeks in a classroom-style training environment focused on learning mortgage fundamentals, preparing for, and successfully passing the required NMLS State Exam

  • Connect with current and prospective borrowers and guide them through the initial stages of the mortgage process

  • Use warm-calling strategies to build rapport, establish trust, and develop meaningful borrower relationships

  • Identify and qualify potential sales opportunities through active listening, thoughtful questioning, and needs-based conversations

  • Stay informed on mortgage market trends, loan products, and industry developments to effectively educate and assist prospective borrowers

  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and development to strengthen mortgage knowledge and sales skills

  • Transition from classroom training into hands-on sales activities, applying learned skills through live borrower conversations

  • Maintain accurate lead and prospect information while consistently following established processes and compliance guidelines


Qualifications:
  • Motivated by personal growth, career development, and earning potential
  • Willing to work hard, stay consistent, and build a long-term career in mortgage sales
  • Highly coachable with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn
  • Previous mortgage or lending experience is a plus, but not required
  • At least 1 year of sales experience preferred, particularly in phone sales, automotive, financial services, insurance, fitness, solar, or similar industries
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, phone-based sales environment and speaking with prospective borrowers throughout the day
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust
  • Confident, professional, and comfortable asking questions, overcoming objections, and guiding conversations
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Committed to completing the required training and successfully obtaining an NMLS license
