What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Video Editor, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Video Editor, you need a solid understanding of video editing principles, basic storytelling, and familiarity with standard editing workflows, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework. Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is typically required. Attention to detail, creativity, time management, and willingness to accept feedback are standout soft skills for this role. These abilities are crucial for producing polished content that meets project goals and deadlines in a collaborative production environment.

What are some typical challenges entry-level video editors face when starting out, and how can they overcome them?

Entry-level video editors often encounter challenges such as managing tight deadlines, learning to interpret creative briefs, and adapting to feedback from clients or senior editors. It's common to feel overwhelmed by the variety of editing software and technical requirements. To overcome these challenges, new editors should focus on building strong organizational habits, seek constructive feedback, and continually practice with different editing tools. Collaborating closely with more experienced team members and participating in regular review sessions can also help accelerate skill development and confidence.

Their job involves assembling raw footage, cutting and rearranging scenes, adding simple effects or transitions, and preparing videos for final publishing. Entry level editors usually work under the supervision of more experienced editors and may use basic editing software. Job Summary

Put your social media skills to work and get paid. King Ford of Nashville is looking for a motivated Social Media Sales Representative / Business Development Representative who understands how people communicate online, how attention works, and how to turn digital conversations into real sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is confident on social media, comfortable creating simple content, and interested in building a career in automotive sales.

This is not a boring desk job. You will help promote new and used vehicles, create social media interest, respond to customer inquiries, follow up with leads, and work with the sales team to help bring buyers into the dealership. We will teach the automotive sales process. You bring the energy, consistency, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

What You Will Do
  • Create and post dealership-friendly social media content featuring new and used vehicles, dealership activity, promotions, and customer-focused messages.
  • Use platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels to generate attention and interest.
  • Respond professionally to online messages, comments, and customer inquiries.
  • Help identify potential buyers and move interested customers into the dealership sales process.
  • Follow up with internet leads, phone leads, social media leads, and showroom opportunities.
  • Assist the sales team with customer communication, appointment setting, and basic vehicle information.
  • Learn product knowledge on Ford vehicles, used inventory, financing basics, and dealership sales procedures.
  • Track activity, document customer interactions, and follow dealership process expectations.
  • Represent King Ford of Nashville with a positive attitude, professional appearance, and customer-first mindset.
What We Are Looking For
  • Social media savvy and comfortable using a smartphone as a business tool.
  • Comfortable being on camera, recording short videos, taking photos, and creating posts.
  • Strong communication skills online, over the phone, and in person.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be coached.
  • Self-starter who can stay consistent without needing to be pushed every minute.
  • Interest in sales, marketing, cars, trucks, customer service, or business development.
  • Ability to handle rejection, follow up with prospects, and keep a professional tone.
  • Reliable attendance and a desire to grow with the dealership.
This Role Is Perfect For
  • Content creators who want to use their skills in a real business environment.
  • Influencers or aspiring influencers who understand how to get attention online.
  • Social media marketers who want a performance-based opportunity.
  • Outgoing go-getters who like people, vehicles, and making money.
  • Entry-level candidates who may not have automotive experience but have the personality and drive to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience posting content on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
  • Basic photo and video editing skills are helpful but not required.
  • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, customer service, call centers, or sales is helpful.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Automotive experience is not required. Coachability matters more than experience.
Compensation and Growth Opportunity

Compensation includes $12.50 per hour plus commission opportunity. This position gives the right person a practical path into automotive sales, business development, social media marketing, and customer relationship management. If you perform, stay consistent, and learn the process, this can become much more than an entry-level job.

Why Join King Ford of Nashville
  • Use skills you already have instead of leaving them on your phone for free.
  • Learn a real sales career in a franchised automobile dealership.
  • Work with new Ford vehicles and quality used inventory.
  • Build confidence in communication, follow-up, customer service, and sales.
  • Join a local dealership team with room for motivated people to grow.
How to Apply

Apply through Hireology or contact King Ford of Nashville directly. Bring your phone, your personality, your hustle, and your willingness to learn.
