This is a high-acuity, non-entry-level role designed for technicians who thrive in advanced diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, and precision patient care. You'll work alongside board-certified radiologists and specialty clinicians, supporting complex cases through MRI, CT, and digital radiography.ย

As a Veterinary Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in advanced imaging workflows, anesthesia support, and diagnostic accuracy.ย 
ย ย Diagnostic Imaging & Patient Careย 
  • Prepare and position patients for:ย 
  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)ย 
  • CT (Computed Tomography)ย 
  • Digital radiography (X-ray)ย 
  • Ensure image quality, accuracy, and proper positioningย 
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging proceduresย 
  • Collaborate with radiologists to support efficient case flowย 
ย ย Anesthesia & Monitoringย 
  • Perform advanced anesthesia induction, intubation, and monitoring for imaging proceduresย 
  • Monitor patients using:ย 
  • ECG, capnography, pulse oximetryย 
  • Blood pressure (IBP/NIBP)ย 
  • Temperature regulationย 
  • Adjust anesthetic depth for short-duration and high-risk casesย 
  • Recognize and respond to anesthetic complicationsย 
ย ย Radiation Safety & Equipment Managementย 
  • Follow strict radiation safety protocols and compliance standardsย 
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and shieldingย 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipmentย 
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelinesย 
ย ย Critical Care Collaborationย 
  • Partner with ER and ICU teams for imaging support of critical patientsย 
  • Assist with stabilization prior to imaging when neededย 
  • Participate in CPR/code response (RECOVER guidelines preferred)ย 
ย ย Clinical Excellenceย 
  • Maintain accurate imaging records and documentationย 
  • Ensure proper case tracking and workflow coordinationย 
  • Support a clean, organized, and efficient imaging suiteย 
  • Follow hospital protocols and best practicesย 
Required Experienceย 
  • 2+ years of experience in:ย 
  • Specialty, ER, ICU, or high-acuity veterinary practiceย 
Strong background in:ย 
  • Anesthesia monitoring and patient careย 
  • Experience with:ย 
  • Diagnostic imaging and positioningย 
  • Advanced monitoring equipmentย 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environmentย 
ย Preferred Qualificationsย 
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credentials (highly valued, not required)ย 
Prior experience in:ย 
  • MRI and/or CT imagingย 
  • Specialty imaging departmentsย 
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocolsย 
  • RECOVER CPR certificationย 
  • Advanced training in anesthesia or ECCย
