About the Role:Job Summary

Mid-level position responsible for support, implementation, repair, and maintenance of multiple communication platforms, including: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Room devices, Logitech AV equipment, BiAmp audio equipment, Avaya PBX and phone equipment, Nursecall Systems, Overhead paging systems, cellular carrier management, VOIP technology, Call recording, and distributed antenna systems. This position must be able to demonstrate each of the job specific skills and abilities listed.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Licensure or other certifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

  • Minimum Experience: 3-7+ years experience supporting critical IT communications (VOIP, communication center, PBX, Nursecall, AV, DAS) infrastructure in a highly available 24x7 environment.

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to articulate technical expertise to peers and leadership team

  • Ability to collaborate with a team to build the best possible solution for customers

  • Strong understanding of communication systems user experience (such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, Avaya, and others)

  • Moderate experience troubleshooting communications systems and components

  • Eagerness and willingness to pursue continual education to foster personal growth

  • Moderate experience in helping people communicate through managing, designing and implementing enterprise scale VoIP and Video over IP network environments with a focus on Microsoft, Avaya, and Polycom/Logitech voice and video technologies

  • Passion in identifying innovative approaches to using new or existing technologies to meet current and future business needs

  • Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers

  • Experience with ISDN, IP/SIP trunking, SBC deployments, conference AV solutions, Nursecall integrations, overhead paging, distributed antenna systems, and/or satellite/cellular technologies

  • Basic contact center routing/configuration, and call log analysis/comprehension

  • Knowledge and experience with telecommunications financials and billing

  • Understanding of SDWAN technology and its impact across various service provider networks

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Participates in on-call rotation.

  • Perform complex problem isolation within the Telecommunications Infrastructure and Networks

  • Creates technical documentation for infrastructure solutions

  • Assist with defining technical communication engineering policies and procedures

  • Ensure the security of the system by driving standards and policies across all applicable technology towers

  • Monitor Communication Systems infrastructure capacity and performance to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of its systems and applications

  • Lead/coordinate new Communications infrastructure and applications projects and deployments

  • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors on repair and maintenance of various communication systems and their components

  • Assist Management with telecommunications financial planning, budgeting, and billing

  • And all other duties as assigned by the Unified Communications Manager
