The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts Medical Center is seeking an Academic General Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our growing department in the heart of Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care while contributing to the academic mission of Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides comprehensive care across the reproductive lifespan and serves a diverse patient population throughout Boston and the greater Tufts Medicine system.
Our department brings together specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Family Planning, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and Midlife Health, creating a rich environment for collaboration, multidisciplinary care and professional growth.
As an Academic General OB/GYN at Tufts Medical Center, you will be supported by an experienced clinical team, including dedicated nursing and advanced practice colleagues. You will have the opportunity to establish and grow your practice while caring for a diverse patient population and collaborating closely with specialists across the department.
Education, research, innovation, and patient advocacy are central to our mission. Our faculty play an active role in teaching and mentoring Tufts University School of Medicine students, OBGYN resident physicians, and other advanced learners, with ample opportunities to explore and further develop your clinical and academic interests.
How you'll transform patient care
As an Academic General Obstetrician/Gynecologist, you will:
  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across the reproductive lifespan
  • Build and grow your practice at Tufts Medical Center
  • Care for patients across ambulatory and inpatient settings, including Labor & Delivery
  • Manage routine and complex obstetric and gynecologic conditions with the support of an extensive network of subspecialists
  • Perform general gynecologic procedures and surgery consistent with your training and clinical interests
  • Practice alongside a strong team of physicians, RNs, APCs, and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Teach and mentor Tufts University School of Medicine students, OBGYN residents, and other advanced trainees
  • Participate in the academic mission of the department through education, , research, innovation, patient advocacy, and/or other scholarly activities based on your interests
  • Help strengthen access to high-quality, compassionate reproductive healthcare for our diverse patient community
  • Contribute to a collegial department culture centered on collaboration, mentorship, inclusion and professional growth
  • Opportunities for candidates interested in adding a laborist component to their schedule

Who you are
  • MD or DO with completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligible for or currently hold a Massachusetts medical license
  • Committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centered care
  • Interested in practicing full-scope General Obstetrics and Gynecology within an academic environment
  • Passionate about teaching and working with residents and medical students

The salary range for this position is $250,000.00 - $348,566.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
