Job description

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial restoration and construction position in the Tampa, FL metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.) and emergency restoration response (water extraction, containment, selective demolition, etc.). The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades listed below. The applicant will be based out of Tampa, FL but some travel throughout Florida and possibly other states may be required.
The applicant must be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicants must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all construction tasks. Applicants must also maintain a positive attitude. This is not an entry-level position or apprentice position. We're hiring skilled carpenters and tradespeople.

Applicant needs to be proficient at the following construction trades:
  • Rough and finish carpentry.
  • Casework / millwork installation.
  • Drywall installation.
  • Drywall finishing.
  • Painting.
  • Caulking.
  • Window and door installation.
  • Metal framing.
  • Acoustic ceilings.
  • Minor electrical.
  • Minor plumbing.
  • More construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred.
  • Restoration construction / reconstruction experience preferred.
  • Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred.

Applicant needs to have experience in the following restoration tasks:
  • Emergency response and proper protocols.
  • Water extraction.
  • Setup and monitoring of equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc).
  • Setup of containment.
  • Taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping.
  • Determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks.
  • Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred.

Requirements:
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.
