The Job
Network Engineer assists in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking to establish a solid foundation in network engineering within a collaborative IT environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Monitor network performance and availability; respond to alerts and outages under guidance from senior staff.

  • Provide first-level support for network-related incidents and service requests.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support ongoing infrastructure projects.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability.

  • Support inventory management of networking hardware and cabling.

  • Stay informed on basic networking trends and best practices.

  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols.

  • Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from senior engineers.

  • Internship or hands-on experience in a network support role is a plus.

  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing) are preferred.

  • Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems is preferred.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
