Locum Tenens Opportunity: Physician Providers near Kelly LA
  • Profession: Physician

  • Shift(s) Description: PRN - as needed basis. Shifts TBD. Half day is 4 hours or less. Full day is 4-8 hours.
  • Weekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/needed
  • On Call Requirements: N/A

We are seeking providers to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams.

Details:

  • Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing, offering flexibility in scheduling to accommodate providers' availability.
  • Candidates must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R.
  • Exams primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury. Exams will encompass a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury assessments.
  • No prescribing or treatment involved, focusing solely on assessment and evaluation.
  • DMA certification available, allowing providers to obtain CME credits. Certification is required once privileged if not already certified.
  • Use of Goniometer required for accurate assessments.
  • Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions required.
  • Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions essential.
  • Personal laptop required for documentation purposes (NO Apple Laptops/MACs).
  • Training provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
  • Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
  • Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal, with records reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
  • Currently, three providers needed for this opportunity.
